University of California, Berkeley is a state university located in the city of Berkeley in Alameda County, California. The University was founded in 1868. It is the oldest of the ten universities that are connected to the public University of California system and is considered the most prominent among these.

Berkeley is a popular destination for Norwegian students, and several of the most renowned institutions in Norway have exchange agreements with the university.
