Oslo School of Management signs Erasmus contract

Oslo School of Management has signed Erasmus agreement with University of Hertfordshire. Being able to offer more exchanges to European institutions is a goal, says Manager of Internationalization, Janne Olsen.

The Erasmus program enables Norwegian students to take a semester abroad at a European institution. Its goal is to support higher education and to help make Europe an attractive area for higher education. During spring 2011 Oslo School of Management was Erasmus accredited and the college has now signed an agreement with University of Hertfordshire in England starting exchange during spring 2012.

- Hertfordshire Business School with 4300 students offers courses in tourism, event management and will eventually offer fashion marketing for Oslo School of Management’s students, says Director of International Education Michael Rosier.

University of Hertfordshire has good experience with international students, and has about 2000 students from all over the world at any given time. Hertfordshire was awarded “Entrepreneurial University of the Year” from Times Higher Education.

- This university adds value to the partners Oslo School of Management want to be associated with. In addition to an increased focus on Europe we have agreements with universities in several parts of the world. We recently signed an agreement with University of California Berkeley in the US and will continue our cooperation with recognized universities in Australia. This will be beneficial for all students who are interested in a semester abroad, says Janne Olsen.

The Erasmus program was established in 1987 and is EU’s program for cooperation between institutions of higher education in Europe and is the world’s largest program for student mobility.
